History of the Company

1907 Feb. Yokogawa Bridge Works, Ltd.(YBW) founded by Dr. Tamisuke Yokogawa at 86 Sakaigawa, Nishiku, Osaka City.
1911 Oct. YBW granted as a bridge manufacturing workshop by Ministry of Japanese Railroad.
1914 Mar. Tokyo workshop opened at 1, Sendacho, Fukagawaku, Tokyo City.
1922 Jan. New Tokyo workshop opened at Shibaura. Sendacho plant was changed to subplant. Head office moved to 7, 1chome, Tsukimicho, Shibaku, Tokyo City from Osaka.
1923 Sep. Sendacho subplant closed since it burned down in the Great Kanto Earthquake..
1940 Aug. Fukagawa workshop opened at 2, Kazakicho, Fukagawaku, Tokyo City.
1943 Jul. Osaka workshop closed.
1945 Nov. Restarted with a new formation after World War II and the name of Tokyo workshop changed to Shibaura workshop.
1945 Dec. Head office moved to 2, 1chome, Marunouchi, Koujimachiku, Tokyo City.
1957 Nov. Head Office moved to 2, 2chome, Nishishibaura, Minatoku, Tokyo City. The ceremony of the 50th anniversary held.
1963 Apr. Established Yokogawa Construction Co., Ltd.
1964 Oct. Osaka Branch opened. Osaka Plant operation started.
1969 Feb. Shibaura Workshop closed. Tokyo Branch opened. Chiba Plant operation started.
1978 Mar. Fukagawa Workshop closed.
1982 Oct. A wharf along the waterfront of Osaka Plant constructed.
1983 Mar. A wharf along the waterfront of Sodegaura yard in Chiba Prefecture constructed.
1984 Jul. Established Yokogawa TechnoInformation Service Inc.
1987 Nov. The ceremony of the 80th anniversary held.
1988 Oct. Established YMT Corporation.
1990 Aug. Osaka Plant rebuilt.
1990 Oct. Sodegaura workshop of System Building Department opened.
1991 Jun. Established Yokogawa New Life Corp.
1991 Oct. The name and log mark of company changed to the Yokogawa Bridge Corp.(YBC) from YBW.
1991 Oct. Yokogawa Techno Building completed in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture.
1993 Sep. Yokogawa Building completed in Minatoku, Tokyo City.
1994 Oct. Organization changed from branch system to head office divisional system.
1997 May Registered ISO 9001 certification.
1997 Sep. Osaka Office Building completed in Osaka Plant.
1998 Aug. Yokogawa No. 2 Techno Building completed in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture.
1999 Mar. Chiba Plant closed.
1999 Apr. New Chiba Plant opened in Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture.
1999 Dec. The structural experiment center was completed in SinMinato yard.
2000 Jan. Established YCE Corp.
2001 Aug. Established Yokogawa System Building Corp.
2002 Oct. Yokogawa Construction Co., Ltd. acquired YMT Corporation.
2005 Mar. Bridge Stage Izumi Plant opened in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture.
2007 Aug. Yokogawa Bridge Holdings Corp. (YBHD) established and YBC became a member of YBHD group.
2008 Nov. The ceremony of the 100th anniversary held.
2009 Oct. Established YokogawaSumikin Bridge Corp.
2010 Dec. Registered ISO 14001 certification.
